In the summer of 2000, wildfire consumed nearly 350,000 acres of Montana’s Bitterroot Valley. This film follows the personal stories of the locals affected by the fires and butting heads of the federal firefighters deployed by Washington and the local departments who had protected these communities for generations to ask what happens when national priorities and hometown loyalties collide.
